Why these meals: Since you're feeding kids, every night leans on something familiar: sloppy joe sliders on Monday, meatballs and pasta on Wednesday, and sausage and cheese quesadillas with apple slices on Thursday. You get five different proteins across the five nights (ground turkey, chicken thighs, meatballs, breakfast sausage and pork loin), so nobody sees the same dinner twice. The 3 lb bag of carrots at $2.49 covers both Monday's carrot sticks and Friday's roasted carrots, and Kraft Singles melt into two of the meals, Monday and Thursday.
